Pageant Queen

I am the current Mrs. Southwest Texas Petite. In July, I will be competing for the title of Mrs. Petite USA.

Pageant Journey

I have been competing in pageants since I was 14. My first pageant was Miss Teen Pennsylvania, and I had no idea what I was doing! My second pageant, Miss York County, I was still pretty much clueless, but I learned a lot from my first two pageants. For the past 10 years, I have participated in the Galveston Island Beach Revue in Galveston. Back in the day, this pageant was the Pageant of Pulchritude, which eventually become the Miss Universe pageant. In 2019, I returned to pageants as Ms. Petite Lone Star State. I competed in the United America pageant and won Ms. United America Petite 2019. Due to COVID, I was able to keep my title for another year! In 2021, I competed in the Miss Texas Petite pageant and placed first runner up and won the Director’s Choice Award.

Social Initiative

As a family nurse practitioner and have been an advocate for women’s health issues for over 15 years. Coming from a medical professional family, I watched my parents take the time to inform their patients on health issues and how they have they power to change their health. As a medical professional, I want to have the same kind of impact.

Being a woman is amazing. We have the power to give life, to create beauty, and to empower others. In order for women to continue to being the amazing beings we are meant to be, we need to be aware of our health status. We need to make sure we are healthy, physically, emotionally, and mentally, to continue to contribute to our families, our careers, and our communities.

I advocate for women’s health inequities. I created PeriodPower Pantry in response to becoming aware of the need for menstrual and hygiene products through working with the homeless and disaster victims. Not only does PeriodPower Pantry donate period packs to schools and women shelters, PeriodPower Pantry has worked with local and state legislatures during the 87th legislative session to promote period inequity awareness by “axing the period tax.” And, we did that! In 2023, PeriodPower Pantry aided in the effort to Ax the Tax and we were successful! Texas no longer has a tax on menstrual products.
