Be Prepared
Have you attended a class, interview, or meeting and weren’t prepared? Have you prayed that the instructor didn’t ask you any questions? Or prayed that the person leading the meeting ask you to update him or her on your current project?
Being prepared will not only reassure you that you are on your game but it gives others the opportunity to realize how valuable you are. And they should! Because you are VALUABLE!
So, let’s show them! Let’s show them how on top of your game you are. Let’s show them how prepared you are and how many informative answers you can give them.
Unfortunately there are people out there who want to trip you up…who want to see you fail. I’ve met some of those people and it’s not fun when you show up to the job unprepared. It’s not fun trying to fumble your way through an explanation.
Being prepared and being knowledgeable will not just prove to these people that you are stronger and confident than they think you are but you will walk away with a sense of peace that you did your best. And I think that’s what we all want. We want to come away from a meeting or project feeling like we did our best.
Do your homework. Read, study, and study some more. Ask a friend to sit and interview with you or propose your project for them. Ask them to ask questions about your what you’re presenting. This will be prep for your presentation or interview.
“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail” - Benjamin Franklin
