When I'm Crowned...

What do you “plan to"?”

As a pageant contestant, I believed in having a strong and long-lasting platform. I’m sure you’ve heard about designing your legacy. Well it is true. If you want to be successful in pageants, you should really consider having a platform that is long-lasting.

Only you can decide your platform or your purpose when you will that crown. It is more than just saying you’re a part of a non-profit. It’s about the actions you carry through on your road to the crown. It’s the interactions you participate in. It’s the innovative projects and programs you design to change your community.

You are a change agent and that is what pageant judges are looking for. The change doesn’t have to be big or grand that affects people nationally or internationally. Local change is important. Local change is needed. Look at what you value and look at what you think could improve in your community and change it!

You can do it! Whether or not you win the crown, the change will stick with you. That improvement that you spear-headed will live inside you. You made that change. You did it. You improved your community. What greater reward is that?
