Mixing and Matching

I am a strong advocate for mixing and matching high-end pieces and low-end pieces. Sometimes, the quality can be the same, other times the low-end pieces can have a higher quality. It’s all in what you get with that particular purchase.

Another reason why I love hi-low styles is that it doesn’t break the bank. Sure, you purchased an expensive sweater but, that cute on-sale suede skirt you found will help balance the cost. I’m not suggesting you have an expensive piece for every style you where but, if that’s the case then you haven’t put yourself in too much debt.

Shopping for hi-lo styles also suggests that you are a savvy shopper. You know that you can create an amazing style from a variety of designers. You value that art of the designer. You want to contribute to the economy of fashion particularly when some of your pieces come from small businesses.

So feel free to mix and match. Stretch that dollar! Be creative! Push your style to timeless limits!
