What Are Your Goals?
What are your goals? That sounds like a lot to ask. So, let me ask you this. What are your goals for this year. It’s August, so there are about 4 months left! Which means you still have time to make the best of this year. 4 months does not sound like a long time but it is just enough time to accomplish those goals.
So where do we start? What do you want to improve in your life? What do you want to achieve? The best way to start writing your goals is to think about the answers to those questions. How would you like to see your life, your career, your relationships, or your education next year? What do you see when you think about improving your life? What does it feel like to think about you accomplishing those goals? What does it smell like? What is your end game?
So now that you have thought about what it would be like after your achieve those goals, now think about where you are now. Then, think about the steps of getting to the end. Think about how you can achieve those goals. Think about what types of resources you will need. Do you need a coach, a counselor, a teacher, a mentor? Do you need to go back to school or take on online class? What kind of skills do you need to acquire?
Now that you have figured all that out, make your plan. How will be getting from point A to point B? It’s a good idea to make small attainable goals. Small measurable goals can help you see progress. These smaller goals can keep you focused and successful. Once you have completed one goal, you can get on your way to accomplish another goal. As soon as you know it, you will have accomplished your big goal!
