Day Trip to Yepez Winery
My husband decided to go on a little road trip in search for a cute local winery. The two local wineries near our home were closed that day. So, my husband decided to take us on a little wine excursion. We left Beaumont, drove passed Winnie and Anahuac, and ended up in Baytown. As we pulled up to this cute piece of property off of Farm to Market Road 565, I thought, “this is going to be fun!”
And it was! As soon as you walk in it is like you are in an oasis. It has to be one of the most beautiful wineries I have seen. You walk to your left to sample some of the wines. The lady who helped was so friendly and knowledgeable. This winery is family-owned and family-operated and you can tell that they really care about sharing their wonderfully crafter wines with you.
We sat out under the pavilion where several patrons where sitting. They had a musician play which was a nice touch. You could walk around the vineyard which stretched far off behind the main building and pavilion. The weather was overcast but, it was a beautiful day none-the-less.
We highly recommend takin the scenic route to check out this vineyard. We will definitely be back soon!!
