In a little less than 20 days, it will be officially summer!  I don’t know about you but summer in Texas is hot and humid from 8 am to late at night.  However, wherever you live summer is probably the favorite season amongst many people.  And why not?  The days are long.  The sun is out.  The fashion is hot!  Whatever your style is: classic, relaxed, rebellious, or creative the following summer tips apply to ally styles.

1.       Summer Sandals

Summer sandals is the first thing I look for when I start summer shopping.  There are a variety of styles for the summer sandal.  So, make sure you look for a sandal that serves your purpose.  Will these sandals be for the office, Sunday brunch, or happy hour?

It may also be wise to think about your sandals as an investment.  Investing in sandals that will not go out of style is something to consider as opposed to purchasing trendy sandals.  Do not get me wrong, trendy sandals are cute and adds style to your outfit.  However, a black, brown, and white sandal will go with a lot of summer outfits.

2.       Flowy clothes

Flowy clothes are always a summer fashion staple.  The flowy style allows air to cool your skin while looking fashionable.  Consider choosing light fabrics in color and in fabric.  Colors such as white, pink (light or hot), yellow, baby blue are some of the colors that representative of summer.  Fabrics such as cotton and linen are favorite summertime fabrics.

3.       Natural Makeup

As mentioned above, light is better during the summer.  This principal applies to make up as well. If you are out in the sun for any amount of time, consider applying an SPF of 30 light moisturizer.  Feel free to reapply generously throughout the day.

Look for foundation that also SPF for more coverage.  If you want to have a great summer glow, tinted moisturizer is a good option.  If you like to add cheeks and eye shadow consider applying pale pinks, cream, and light browns.  Do not forget to add some shimmer too to add to your glow.  Using a finishing spray to set your summer make up for the entire time of your event.

4.       Summer hats

I love hats.  Hats can be fun, flirty, and can make a statement to your outfit.  Not only can hats be fashionable, but they can also help protect your face for the summer sun.  It is important to consider breathable and lightweight hats with a wide brim.  Panama hats, floppy beach hats, woven visors, and linen hats are a few styles you may enjoy while spending outdoors.

5.       Sunglasses

Sunglasses can be fashionable and be a form of protection for your eyes from the sun.  There are a variety of styles of sunglasses for the summer that range from classic to trendy.  Square or round oversized glasses will never go out of style.  They are very fashionable and a little mystery to yourself. Cat-eye sunglasses are fun and add personality. They bring a retro vibe to your outfit.  Aviators are another popular summertime sunglass style.  The fun thing about aviators is that they come in a variety of colors, the classic brown, blue, pink, and yellow just to name a few.
